This Privacy Policy explains how Lawn Level Company Ireland (a division of Caruso Consulting Co Ltd, "we", "us" or "our") collects, uses, shares and protects your personal data when you visit lawnlevelrake.irish or buy from us.

Who is responsible for your data

Caruso Consulting Co Ltd decides how your personal data is used, which makes it the controller of that data under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The GDPR and the Irish Data Protection Acts 1988 to 2018 set the rules we follow. Privacy questions and requests are handled by our team at theteam@customersupport.care.

Information we collect

We only collect what we need to run the store and look after you.

When you place an order: your name, email address, phone number, delivery address (street, town or city, county, Eircode and country), any order notes, what you bought, the delivery method you chose, any discount code you used, and the amount you paid.
Payment information: card payments are handled by Stripe Checkout and PayPal payments by PayPal, on their own systems. We receive confirmation that the payment went through and a payment reference. We never receive or store your card details.
When you contact us: your name, email address, your message and anything you choose to include, whether you email us, use our contact or wholesale quote form, or leave feedback on our review page.
When you use the chat assistant: the messages you type into it.
When you browse: our hosting provider handles your IP address and basic details of each request so it can deliver pages to you. If you accept cookies, Google Analytics also records things like the pages you visit, how you arrived, and your device and browser type, and Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising record whether your visit or order came from one of our ads.

Why we use it, and our legal basis

To process, pack and deliver your order, and to send your order confirmation and shipping emails. We need this to carry out our contract with you.
To answer your questions and handle returns, refunds and complaints, because you asked us to and because the law gives you those rights.
To keep the business and accounting records the law requires. This is a legal obligation.
To prevent fraud and keep the store secure. This is in our legitimate interests.
To understand how the site is used and which of our ads work, only with your consent.

Marketing email

We send marketing email only if you have agreed to receive it, and every message includes a way to unsubscribe. You can also ask us to stop at any time by emailing theteam@customersupport.care. Order confirmations and delivery updates are not marketing and are sent to every customer.

Who we share it with

We share personal data only with the service providers we need to run the store, and only what each one needs:

Stripe and PayPal, who take your payment.
Vercel, who hosts this website and runs our checkout.
Supabase, where our order records are stored.
Resend, who sends our order emails.
The warehouse and courier that pack and deliver your order, who receive the details needed to deliver it, such as your name, delivery address and phone number.
Google, for Google Analytics and Google Ads (cookies only if you accept them). Our pages also load their typefaces from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google's servers.
Microsoft, for Microsoft Advertising (advertising cookies only if you accept them).
IntellextAI, who provides the chat assistant on our pages.
Our form system, served from app-marketing-command-centre.vercel.app, which receives what you send through our contact, wholesale quote and review feedback forms.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it. We do not sell your personal data.

Data outside the European Economic Area

Our company is based in , and several of the service providers above store or process data in countries outside the European Economic Area. This means your data may be handled outside the European Economic Area. If you would like details of these transfers, email us.

Cookies and browser storage

Your cart and any discount code you apply are kept in your own browser's local storage, not on our servers. Analytics and advertising cookies are only set after you accept them in our cookie banner. The full detail, and how to change your choice, is on our Cookie Policy page.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for as long as business and accounting record-keeping requires. We keep messages and enquiries while they are useful. When we no longer need personal data, we delete it or make it anonymous.

Your rights

Under the GDPR and the Data Protection Acts 1988 to 2018, you can ask us:

for a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
to correct it if it is wrong or incomplete;
to delete it, where we no longer need to keep it;
to limit how we use it, or to stop using it for a purpose you object to;
for a copy in a format you can take to another business.

Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. To make a request, email theteam@customersupport.care. We may need to confirm who you are before we act on it, and we will respond within one month, which is the time the GDPR allows.

If you are not happy with how we have handled your data, please tell us first so we can try to fix it. You also have the right to complain to the Data Protection Commission, Ireland's data protection regulator, at dataprotection.ie.

Keeping it secure

This site uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and your card details are handled by Stripe and PayPal rather than by us. Access to order records is limited to the people who need it. No method of sending or storing information over the internet is completely secure, but we take care to protect yours.

Children's privacy

Our store is for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has given us their information, please contact us so we can remove it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
